The Shure SLXD15+/85M is a professional digital wireless lavalier microphone system designed for field production, broadcast, videography, and mobile content creation. Built on the SLX-D+ platform, it combines transparent digital audio with expanded frequency coverage, automated wireless management, and hands-free system control in a compact, camera-ready configuration. This system pairs a single-channel camera-mount receiver with a bodypack transmitter and low-profile lavalier microphone for portable, location-based workflows.
Lightweight Bodypack Transmitter with WL185m Cardioid Lavalier Mic
The included WL185m electret-condenser lavalier microphone features a cardioid polar pattern that focuses pickup on the speaker while helping reduce background noise and feedback in reinforced sound environments. Its low-profile design keeps the microphone visually discreet for on-camera, presentation, and broadcast use. The microphone connects via a locking TA4F connector to the compact SLXD1+ bodypack transmitter, which includes a belt clip and LCD screen for quick access to frequency, battery, and link status.
SLXD5+ Camera-Mount Digital Wireless Receiver
The SLXD5+ is a single-channel portable digital wireless receiver designed for on-camera cold-shoe mounting or audio-bag use. It delivers transparent 24-bit digital audio with greater than 118 dB of dynamic range and rock-solid UHF RF performance. Dual 1/8" outputs provide a dedicated headphone monitoring output and a switchable mic/line output for direct connection to cameras, recorders, and mixers. It features a backlit LCD for important information at a glance, while its compact design makes it well suited for mobile production environments where speed and reliability are essential.
Transparent Digital Audio and Expanded RF Performance
SLX-D+ delivers pristine 24-bit digital audio with exceptional clarity and headroom. A wide 138 MHz tuning range (regionally dependent) provides greater geographical coverage and simplified frequency coordination. The system supports up to 11 simultaneous systems per 6 MHz TV band and up to 14 systems per 8 MHz TV band, enabling scalable multi-channel deployments, even in challenging RF environments.
ShowLink Ease Automated Wireless Management
ShowLink Ease enables real-time two-way communication between paired SLX-D+ receivers and transmitters using a dedicated control link. Once linked, transmitters automatically follow receivers across power cycles and frequency changes. Users can remotely change transmitter frequency, adjust gain, lock or unlock controls, deploy interference mitigation, and perform over-the-air firmware updates-directly from the receiver or a paired mobile device.
Wireless Workbench Desktop and Mobile Control
The SLXD15+/85M integrates with Shure Wireless Workbench desktop software and the Wireless Workbench Mobile app, allowing RF monitoring and system control over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Users can scan and coordinate frequencies, manage transmitters via ShowLink Ease, and monitor system status from a centralized interface-ideal for fast-moving production environments.
Integrated Digital Feedback Reduction
Patented Shure Digital Feedback Reduction (DFR) software is embedded in every SLX-D+ receiver. DFR automatically detects and suppresses feedback using dynamic notch filters, enhancing clarity and stability when lavalier microphones are used near loudspeakers or in unpredictable acoustic spaces.
Secure Operation and Flexible Power Options
All SLX-D+ systems ship with AES-256 encryption enabled for secure wireless transmission. The SLXD1+ bodypack transmitter provides up to 8 hours of operation using two AA batteries or optional SB903 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. The SLXD5+ camera-mount receiver offers up to 5.5 hours of operation using two AA batteries or optional SB903 rechargeable batteries, with compatibility for Shure charging accessories (available separately).
