The Audio-Technica BP898cH is a durable, cardioid lavalier microphone equipped with a permanently attached 55" cable terminated with a locking, 4-pin cH-style connector for Audio-Technica wireless transmitters. The subminiature size is visually discreet, making the mic easy to conceal while providing clear, intelligible speech and vocals for vocalists, lecturers, stage and television talent, and worship leaders.

The directionality of the BP898cH cardioid element has a pronounced proximity effect when used at close range, enhancing the user's voice. This low-frequency enhancement drops off when the microphone is used at a distance. The mic's cable is made of a robust urethane elastomer that provides ultimate flexibility and strength, while resisting abrasion and moisture, providing reliable performance for film/TV work, theater, houses of worship, and professional events.
