Jabra ClearVoice is a proprietary, state-of-the-art technology that combines a multi-microphone system with beamforming and superior algorithms, designed by Jabra. It meets the ‘premium microphone for the open office’ requirements adjusting a precise balance between cancellation of background noise and other people’s voices with speech clarity enhancement. Back-to-back meetings can mean being in your headset all day, so we’ve created something to take the pressure off even when you’ve got your headset on. Jabra Air Comfort is a new comfort technology that features redesigned earcup cushions with a new pattern and material that distributes pressure on the ear more evenly. We've also changed the inside of the ear cups with a softer, more responsive material that helps to relieve pressure on the ears. The headband features a new perforated design that distributes pressure more evenly on the top of the head** so you'll feel like you're not even wearing a headset during your long meetings. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is a technology used to reduce unwanted background noise. It works by using microphones outside the headset’s earcup (feedforward) to pick up the ambient noise around you, then generating sound waves that are the exact opposite, or "negative," of the ambient noise. These negative sound waves effectively cancel out the background noise, allowing you to hear your audio more clearly.
This is where the phrase fit-for-purpose applies. Evolve2 50, just like the rest of Evolve2 line, was engineered to radically improve comfort and sound performance: for that reason the earcups were designed with an asymmetrical shape to better fit the ears and the head shape. Wearing the microphone on either side would require symmetrical / round ear cups that would compromise on both comfort and audio quality.*

Yes, Evolve2 50 has Audio over USB.
We don’t like to brag, but… software based noise suppression can cancel basic background noise i.e. a keyboard tapping but it doesn’t come near to what Evolve2 55 and professional noise cancelling headsets can do. Software based noise cancellation cannot cancel speech and human voices, which are some of the most common types of noises in hybrid work situations i.e. if your partner at home or your colleague in the office is speaking near you, the headset will be able to cancel that as opposed to software noise cancellation. Software noise suppression also requires computer CPU, which consumes more battery, and often affects speech quality i.e. with sound delay, and it is not available on mobile.
